Twin sisters Lindy and Kris find a ventriloquist’s dummy sitting in a Dumpster and Lindy names it “Slappy.” But when Kris gets jealous of her sister’s dummy, she gets a ventriloquist dummy of her own named “Mr. Wood,” and very quickly, ominous creepy things start happening.

14. The Werewolf of Fever Swamp (1993) – 5/5
Twelve-year-old Grady Tucker and his family move from their northeast home in Vermont to a remote house in Florida located at the edge of a swamp where his scientist father can study “swamp deer.” However, very quickly strange things start happening and the swamp becomes an eerie, foreboding, atmospheric place filled with gurgling bogs and crazed hermits. There are also rumors of an old fever that once plagued the swamp as well as a werewolf that has been slaughtering nearby animals.
15. You Can’t Scare Me! (1994) – 3/5
A group of sixth graders led by Eddie relentlessly try to bully and scare their know-it-all classmate Courtney. But every time they try to embarrass her, their plots only seem to fail and backfire on them. But after learning that Courtney is actually a true believer in monsters, Eddie and his friends decide to give Courtney the scare of her life by re-enacting the old legend of the “Mud Monsters” who are rumored to emerge out of Muddy Creek and plague the townsfolk each year on the full moon.
16. One Day at HorrorLand (1994) – 3/5
The Morris family gets lost on vacation and winds up at a strange horror-themed amusement park in the middle of nowhere. When their car mysteriously blows up in the nearly empty parking lot, it’s up to twelve-year-old Lizzy, her rambunctious little brother Luke, and his nervous friend Clay to venture deep into this increasingly terrifying theme park and uncover its secrets.
17. Why I’m Afraid of Bees (1994) – 2/5
Gary Lutz (“Lutz the Klutz”) is a clumsy, lonely, ostracized twelve-year-old boy who longs for another life. He’s also deathly afraid of bees. One day, he spots an online advertisement for a body swap with another person, but when it comes time to perform the switch, something goes terribly wrong and Gary finds himself transformed into a bee!

The first sequel in the Goosebumps canon (in fact, the first of four “Monster Blood” books), Monster Blood II sees the return of Evan Ross with his friend Andy as they dodge school bullies like “Conan the Barbarian” before accidentally provoking a new school crisis using the monster blood when it is somewhat mistakenly fed to the class hamster “Cuddles.”

William “Billy” Deep, Jr. is from Baltimore but he is spending his summer on a boat with his uncle, an experienced marine biologist nicknamed “Dr. D.” But over the course of various snorkeling adventures alongside his sister Sheena, Billy finds himself wrapped up in a nautical thrill-ride and he discovers a surprising secret about something swimming just beneath the waves.
